Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi launched Digital India Week on 1st July, 2015 at 4 pm. The live streaming of Digital India Week was available on biggest video streaming platform YouTube. While the whole world is adopting the digital change, India is taking every necessary steps to get on top.
The launching ceremony of Digital India Week was conducted in capital, New Delhi. Several components for Digital India were released in the ceremony like website 'digitalindia.gov.in', book 'Digital India Book' and 'Policy Document on E-Governance Policy Initiatives under Digital India'.
This campaign promises to connect 250,000 villages in India by 2019. PM Narendra Modi said that the investments into the program will create 1.8 million jobs.
